I've been a storyteller ever since I can remember. As a child, I would make up stories for my own amusement. I used to fantasize about being all sorts of things when I grew up but I always knew I was meant to be a writer. What other career lets you be whatever you want for a time before you move on?

I was born in Stockton, CA in the late seventies and lived there most of my life before moving to Rapid City, SD where I now reside with my loving and amazingly supportive fiancee Shannon.

When I'm not strapped to a keyboard I'm usually pursuing one of my many hobbies. I love working on classic cars, although you wouldn't know it from the amount of cursing I do when I'm working on a project. Still, nothing compares to the feeling of completing a project whether it be a story or hearing the engine of a former junker finally fire up.

I spend as much time as I can in the outdoors. I love hiking, fishing and general exploring. I've never been much for gyms. I prefer to get my exercise in the open air.

I'm also an amateur blacksmith. I love the smell of the forge and the comforting glow of hot steel. Not to mention that beating steel into submission is extremely cathartic.

I usually have several writing projects in the works but I've been making a real effort to concentrate on one project at a time. Currently, I'm working on an epic fantasy novel set in modern times.
